THAILAND-IFF and Wat Takien Market

On Thursday, January 25th, 2019, I and my SEA Teacher friends who interned in Bodindecha School were invited by teachers to attend an event, THAILAND-IFF that held in Debsirinnon International School. Actually, the event has been going on since last Wednesday, but I and Jay can not visit because it will be an impromptu evaluation by the VRU mentor. So we were only able to attend on Thursday. THAILAND-IFF was attended by 18 delegates from various countries. There are Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Slovakia, Hungary, Japan, Marocco, Israel, Bangladesh, Turkey, Poland, and many more.

In addition to cultural exchanges, Debsirinnon International School also provides a wide variety of booths with a variety of interesting things inside them. Displaying games made by students, named 'Dream Traveller Game '. The game tells the story of a girl who tried to escape from the monster in her nightmares. At the booth, we were challenged to finish the game by gaining lots of scores. For those who get the highest score, then he or she would get a reward from the standing guard.

I and Reggy tried the game. However, I didn’t get a reward, because I lost quickly. Yes I know, I really suck. Ha ha ha. But my friend managed to get the highest score. He can defeat the monsters in that girl's nightmare, And he got a cute pink earphone from the committee. It's funny because my friend is a man but he got pink earphone.

Still unsatisfied with just played game, we walked to another venture. We went to chemistry reaction stand, to physics games stand, ASEAN bingo stand, and much more. We explore a lot of things. The show was very pleasant and also educated. In addition to introducing the culture, they were also introduced STEM-based learning has been applied in their schools. Technology that applied such as Augmented Reality.

Around 13.00 pm we moved to Wat Takien. Wat Takien is a temple that located underground. Around Wat Takien there is also a river and Floating Market. There is also a large gong. It was said that if we do that and he stroked gong sound, it means that our prayers will be up. Not everyone who stroked the gong managed to produce sound. Lucky me and friends succeed. I think the key to the gong sounds is patience and consistency. Because if we continue stroking the gong at a constant speed that is unchangeable it will produce a sound.

Approximately 2 hours at Wat Takien floating market and satisfied roam food as well as take pictures, we finally decided to go back to school.
