Random thoughts

Hi!

Salam pembuka gue kaya alakadarnya banget yak hahahaha. Tapi yaa gimana yaaa. I changed. There are many things changed about me.

I'm about crazy throughout this rollercoaster. Sampai akhirnya gue inget kalo gue masih punya blog tempat gue bisa numpahin semua uneg uneg gue.

Long short story. Jadi sebenarnya ini tu blog buat laporan exchange program gue dua taun yang lalu.

And after that i never write anything here no more! Jadi karena gue males bikin lapak baru lagi dan karena ngerasa sayang aja ini lapak teronggok berdebu bak disia-siakan pemiliknya, mending gue jadiin bak sampah baru gue yekaaann

Itung-itung gue punya coping mechanism baru gitu lah yaaa.

Bubuy~~

Grand Palace

Hola Amigoooooo

Welcome back to #TRIPINTHAILAND with me Litaaaa ~

This time I wanna share my story when I visited Grand Palace. Happy reading good people…
It was my last week In Thailand. I and my company (as always), went to Grand Palace in the morning. Mama promised us if she wanted to take us there if we had free time. The school was closed because of air pollution, that’s why we could have our trip in the morning. We gathered in front of Wat Chalo and went to Rama 7 (Ram Jet) Pier by taxi meter. From there, we ride a boat to go to the grand palace. We only paid for 15 THB with a long trip. It was so cheap. along the way we also ate our meal and seeing a beautiful riverside, it was awesome. We also stopped in some piers to take other passengers. If the boat isn’t full, you can sit and enjoy the view. But if the boat is full, you have to stand along the way. It's tiring sometimes, but if you had a company to talk you won't feel it. Lucky us when the boat came it wasn’t full. Oh, I can't imagine how can I eat a pack of sticky rice standing in a moving boat. After ride 30 minutes we stopped at Tha Chang Wang Luang Pier.

And, Here we are….

We arrived at Grand Palaceeeeeee

Yeaaayyyyyyyy

And now it's our time to exploreeeeee
There are so many tourists in the Grand Palace, most of them are Chinese. I even can't find Indonesian there, except me and my friend Tia. Unlike at Chatuchak, there are so many Indonesian. But its okay, I don’t really mind too. Oh, yeah I forgot to tell you that I and my Filipino friends we choose a different trip. I and Tia, we will visit the grand palace, but my Filipino friends, they just walk around and buy something at the market around there and then they would back to the apartment. Actually, I was sad, because I don’t have my complete company when I visited the most visited place in Thailand. But I do understand them.
If you want to visit the Grand Palace, you have to pay 500 THB. It’s pretty expensive, but trust me worth it. Okay, before I start my story about the inside of the Grand Palace, I would be better if I share a bit of information about it. So, guys Grand Palace are complex buildings at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. The place has been the official residence of the kings of siam since 1782. The king, his court, and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925. King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) resided at the chitralada royal villa and his successors' king vajiralongkorn (Rama X) at the amphora Sathan Residential Hall, both in the Dusit Palace, but the Grand Palace is still used for official events. Several royal ceremonies and state functions are held within the walls of the palace every year. The palace is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Thailand (Sourced by Wikipedia).

There are so many buildings in the Grand Palace, they are : The Grand Palace, the temple of Emerald Buddha, Phra Ubosoth, The Demon Guardians, Phra Siratana Chedi, Phra Mondop, Phra Bussabok, Prasat Phra Dhepbidorn, Model of Angor Wat, Phra Asada Maha Chedi, Hor Phra Naga, Phra Wihan Yod, Hor Phra Monthian Dharma, Hor Phra Gandhararat, Belfry, and many more. We entered Gran Palace at 11 am and all we do inside was walked around and took many pictures. Sometimes we sat and resting our leg. It was a long trip, I really like that place. I felt don’t wanna home really soon, I loved the atmosphere there, even hot and crowded. No wonder both I and my friend felt so satisfied with this place. Its okay I have to waste my 500 baht for this experience, as I told you before worth it. We walked around and took many photos in every single building. we spent about 6 hours at Grand Palace and went home by boat. We decided to ride a boat from Tha Chang Wang Luang Pier to Rama 7 Pier and then ride a songtaew to back to Bang Kruai. It was the easiest way with cheaper price. We can easily found a bus stop in front of the Pier and waited for songtaew there. We only spend 15 THB for boat and 10 THB for songtaew, so overall we just spend 25 THB for our transportation for going home.

So, guys, it's not always expensive if you want to have a travel to Thailand as long as you know how to manage your budget. Hope this blog helps you for having a trip to Thailand.

See ya on another blog good people!!

Nam Tok Sai Yok Noi with Bodindecha Teachers and Students of M 2/3

It was Saturday, January 26, 2019. I and my friends went to Nam Tok Sai Yok Noi in Kanchanaburi Province. We went with a group of school. There were about 30 students from Mathayom 2 and several teachers that accompanied us. One of them is my mentor. We went by train. Trains depart at 7 am and would arrive at Nam Tok station at 11 am, or about four hours away.
Along the way, we also stopped at several stations such as Nakhom Prathom station, Kanchanaburi station, etc. When we stop in Kanchanaburi, we were allowed to explore a few places there. Although only given 20 minutes, at least we had time to capture the moment, and how shocked us deeply when we know that in Kanchanaburi is being held THAILAND-IFF which is celebrated in Debsirinnon International School earlier. We met again with 18 delegates from across the country, including Indonesia.

Kanchanaburi station located adjacent to the river. In addition, it is also close to the Kwan In Goddess temple and around them there are also many people who sell street food or snacks by the roadside. No wonder Kanchanaburi frequently visited by tourists, especially when there is an event such as the time. From Kanchanaburi station, we went on our way to the next destination, about an hour away and we got to Nam Tok station. In Nam Tok, we have to ride the songtaew to go to Nam Tok Sai Yok Noi or Sai Yok Noi waterfall and must be back before 3 pm in order not to fall behind the train.

Arriving at Nam Tok Sai Yok Noi, we decided to have lunch first. We split up to look for lunch each. They went looking for a snack, there are going to eat rice, or went looking for a drink, depending on what they wanted. If I, after driving around, I ended up buying Roti, Roti is a kind of Thai street food like martabak. It made from wheat flour in cooking as martabak and in the middle by stuffing an egg. There are various flavors of roti, depending on the toppings are added. If me, I chose young coconut bread. So that when fried, Roti stuffing me there are two, namely eggs and coconut. Once cooked bread is cut into sections, just like martabak in Indonesia, but they also add a unique was Krimmer condensed thereon, then serve it over coconut shells. Truly unique, eat Roti that served over coconut shell is a new experience.

After lunch, we then headed to travel to Sai Yok Noi waterfall. There are many tourists who come both from within the country (Thailand) and abroad. Most of them are foreign tourists as of Europe, America, Japan, China. Not much can explore below, we finally decided to climb to the top, to the water source. To get there we had to climb the stairs that much, then we sort of motorcycle riding to go to the Erawan park. Erawan park there is a flow, not large indeed, but in the river, there is a lot of fish. Besides, the river water is also very clear and refreshing. Akhirya two teachers and two of my friends decided to swim. And me, I decided to soak my feet in the river, as I was going to soak my feet, suddenly came a swarm of small fish came and nibbled my feet, they feed on the dead skin on my feet. It seemed ridiculous but fun. Finally, I leave it alone. Consider it a free fish therapy.

When time is shown at 2. 15 pm. We decided to go back to Nam Tok station so as not to miss the train. On the way home, our train was stopped occasionally at some stations, but we were not allowed to go down because they only drop off and pick up passengers. And finally, we arrived at the station Bamru Bang at 7.30 pm and feeling exhausted.

it's all for this blog, I will post another blog ASAP

See you on another #TRIPINTHAILAND good people ❣❣

THAILAND-IFF and Wat Takien Market

On Thursday, January 25th, 2019, I and my SEA Teacher friends who interned in Bodindecha School were invited by teachers to attend an event, THAILAND-IFF that held in Debsirinnon International School. Actually, the event has been going on since last Wednesday, but I and Jay can not visit because it will be an impromptu evaluation by the VRU mentor. So we were only able to attend on Thursday. THAILAND-IFF was attended by 18 delegates from various countries. There are Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Russia, Slovakia, Hungary, Japan, Marocco, Israel, Bangladesh, Turkey, Poland, and many more.

In addition to cultural exchanges, Debsirinnon International School also provides a wide variety of booths with a variety of interesting things inside them. Displaying games made by students, named 'Dream Traveller Game '. The game tells the story of a girl who tried to escape from the monster in her nightmares. At the booth, we were challenged to finish the game by gaining lots of scores. For those who get the highest score, then he or she would get a reward from the standing guard.

I and Reggy tried the game. However, I didn’t get a reward, because I lost quickly. Yes I know, I really suck. Ha ha ha. But my friend managed to get the highest score. He can defeat the monsters in that girl's nightmare, And he got a cute pink earphone from the committee. It's funny because my friend is a man but he got pink earphone.

Still unsatisfied with just played game, we walked to another venture. We went to chemistry reaction stand, to physics games stand, ASEAN bingo stand, and much more. We explore a lot of things. The show was very pleasant and also educated. In addition to introducing the culture, they were also introduced STEM-based learning has been applied in their schools. Technology that applied such as Augmented Reality.

Around 13.00 pm we moved to Wat Takien. Wat Takien is a temple that located underground. Around Wat Takien there is also a river and Floating Market. There is also a large gong. It was said that if we do that and he stroked gong sound, it means that our prayers will be up. Not everyone who stroked the gong managed to produce sound. Lucky me and friends succeed. I think the key to the gong sounds is patience and consistency. Because if we continue stroking the gong at a constant speed that is unchangeable it will produce a sound.

Approximately 2 hours at Wat Takien floating market and satisfied roam food as well as take pictures, we finally decided to go back to school.

Field Trip to King Rama II Memorial Park & Amphawa Floating Market

Welcome back again…….

Are you ready for another trip?

Okay, lets begin….

It was January 19th, all of us, fellow participants of SEA Teacher Batch 7th in VRU, we had our field trip to Amphawa floating market and King Rama II Memorial Park. We went there by bus. But, the bus wouldn’t pick us at Bang Kruai, they will pick us up in front of Central Plaza Westgate together with our friends from Satit Bangna School.

We went to Central Plaza Westgate at 6 am by songtaew and arrived at 6.30 am. We waited there for about 30 minutes until the bus picks us up. Amphawa floating market and King Rama II Memorial Park located at Samut Songkhram Province.

The first place we visited was King Rama II Memorial Park that place told us the history of King Rama II life history. This park was built to honor King Rama II and is run by a royally-supported foundation. King Rama II was awarded the status of Person of the World by UNESCO for his contributions to the arts and culture of Thailand, and his achievements are celebrated in this compound.

In addition, the King Rama II Museum, composed of four buildings, houses artifacts from the early Rattanakosin era, King Rama II’s household furniture, and showcases the lives of Thais during the king’s reign.

And now, the question is.... how to get there?

To get there by public transport, take a bus at the Municipal Market of Amphoe Mueang Samut Songkhram, traveling from Mae Klong to Bang Nok Khwaek and Ratchaburi, and get off in front of the park. By car, take Highway 35 (Thon Buri–Pak Tho) to Km 63 and drive through the town of Samut Songkhram. Switch to Highway 325 (SamutSongkhram–Bang Phae) and take a left turn between Km 36-37 for around approximately 1 kilometer. The park is open during weekdays from 8.30 am–5.00 and on weekends from 8.30 am-5.30 pm.

We also visited the Amphawa Floating Market. We visited it on the weekend when it was not opened. But about the riverside shops were opened and the market was still opened. My Thai buddy said the market was available in the morning (Saturday and Sunday) since around 10 am, unfortunately, we just arrived at King Rama II Memorial Park that time. Nutter (my Thai buddy) also said that it would be better if you visited it at night. Because there were many fireflies fly on the river and it must be awesome. I wish I could visit it at night someday J. We bought many kinds of stuff there. From cha yen or commonly known as Thai tea, Kao Man Gai or you can say it Chicken rice, also fish cake, and crab and many more. Some of my friends took the boat tour, but I didn’t because I was too exhausted and just wanted to rest in our bus. Yeah, it sounds boring, but I really needed rest. I felt dizzy and my feet hurt, I lost my enthusiast suddenly, I just wanted home and going to bed soon. So, I decided to go back to our bus and waited for them back. A few minutes later, my friends and mentors back to the bus and we went home. It was a looooong day for me. when I arrived at my apartment, I go to bed immediately.

sorry for being moody in this trip :(
but I really felt tired. See ya on the other post ~

Chatuchak Weekend Market, Lost in Thailand

Alohaaa…. Its me again!

This time I would like to share my story going to chatuchak weekend market and how we lost in Thailand. Hope you enjoy it and happy reading.

It was our first Sunday in Thailand. I and my friends decided spent our weekend in chatuchak. Chatuchak is a largest weekend market In Thailand. There were always crowded every weekend. Cause many foreigners and visitors come to buy souvenirs and bring them back to their country. If you want to find cheap shirts, cheap clothes, cheap skin cares, cheap cosmetics, cheap shoes, cheap food, cheap souvenirs and many more, chatuchak is the exact place then. Actually we wanted spend our weekend at central plaza westgate. But, we changed our mind after watched a youtube video about chatuchak.

We ride a grab car to get to chatuchak. We thought it’s the best way to get there quickly. Yeah I know grab car is pretty expensive, but we planned ride other cheaper public transportation when we back to apartment. It took about 22 minutes from Bang Kruai district to chatuchak weekend market. As always, chatuchak area crowded and traffic, so our driver just dropped us in front of gate 23. We walked inside and looked around for a while. We started our shopping spree and bought many stuffs. Time flies, and we felt hungry. We decided for had our lunch at nearly mall, and we used GPS for searched the nearly mall.

Gotcha! We found it. It’s a metro mall, just 7 minutes walk from chatuchak. But, do you know what happened after 7 minutes walked? Yup you’re right ! we didn’t found any mall. We asked Thai  people around there, but they couldn’t talk English. Some of them understand what we said, but they cant response with English too. That’s why we chose another mall for lunch, and we chose central plaza. And can you guess again what? We did it, Yeayyy! For 23 minutes walked from Mo Chit station, finally we arrived at central plaza mall. We had our lunch at bon chon chicken and back to chatuchak by MRT.

Actually, we found the MRT station accidently. When we walked in, I heard my friend said something about metro mall. i looked back to my friend position and saw him pointed on somewhere, and do you know what again? The one that my friend pointed was The Metro Mall we looked for before. Oh My Godness! Shame on me! It was so embarrassing when my friend mock me with ‘do you know where the metro mall is?’ question along way we went back to chatuchak. Oh, really I didn’t know that metro mall is a MRT station tiny mall. No wonder why we cant found the mall on the ground, because it was underground mall for MRT station. One more time, Shame on me!

Okay, can we stop talk about Metro Mall and continue my story now?

For ride MRT you only paid 19 THB for through 2 or 3 stations. It was my first time for ride MRT in Thailand, and it felt so amazing. I was so excited, also with my friends. We stopped at chatuchak park station and continued our shopping spree till dawn.

When we wanted back home, we got trouble. And here’s the drama begun. According to our grab driver explanation, we have a couple choices to get back to bang kruai. First, we can ride bus. Second, we can ride MRT. Third, we can ride Van. Fourth, we can ride grab car (again). Fifth, we can ride taxi meter. That’s why we need to discussed about it, and we chose MRT without knowing what station we would stop.

One of my friend said ‘don’t be afraid, you’re not alone. Lets figured it out, we wont know if we don’t try it’. Hahaha I knew that we were so brave, we know the risk we would face. But we still chose the unsure one. And I just realized we weren’t brave, we were desperate at that time. Honestly, I was scared that time. I mean like,  I lost in a strange place literally, with feeling exhausted and I have to go to school again tomorrow for teaching. But the fear disappeared when I saw my friends face. I know, no matter how far you lost, no matter how tired you are, as long as you with your company, you will always save. Finally, we arrived at Ministry of Public Health Station and went home by grab car again.

I think its all for this blog, see you again in another post!

EGAT and National Children Day

Hi, it was my first week in Thailand, when Mama (one of the foreign teacher coordinator in our school) took us to EGAT. We went there by taxi meter. It ain't that far from our school.

She said that she wanted us had our experience of celebrating National children day in Thailand. Mama told us don’t think about your age today all of you are 12 years old, you can play and do everything you want as a kid. I laughed when I heard mama said that. I mean, it must be weird seeing four people in early adult life acting like 12 years old kids.

There were so crowded, it feels like all of Nonthaburi children were in  EGAT at that time. Hahaha. Really, I don’t tell lie. They made a big occasion for celebrating children day. They provided a lot of balloons, cupcakes, bottles with EGAT design and they shared it to each kid who came there for FREE. I and my friends, we also got it even we’re not kids anymore. We played some games, we got balloons, and we played it by also got the picture together and we could get the print for FREE also. Everything is free for kids on that day. We got pictures with Elsa ‘FROZEN’ cosplay, with Deadpool cosplay, with iron man cosplay.

We acted like 12 years old kids that day. It was sooo much fun.

After that, we went to EGAT Learning Center. My first impression when I saw the design of that building is ‘WOW’. Really, they combined play and learn the concept at once. I mean in one place you can play advanced and futuristic games and learn about electricity and many things at the same time. I was so grateful mama took us there. It was a very good place, not only for play and learn but also to take pictures. Hahaha. At 1 pm we went out from EGAT Leaning Center and went to Nonthaburi pier by taxi meter (again). Arrived at Nonthaburi pier, we ride a boat to crossed Chao Phraya river. You can cross Chao Phraya River by boat for only 3.50 THB. It's so cheap and affordable. After crossing the river, we ride songtaew for back to the apartment.
